I would like to express my philosophy about cooking and its relation to the world that has surrounded us for millions of years. I
simply think that sharing a meal with others might have something to do with a primordial instinct of ours, what I mean is that sitting
at the table with family and friends completes us on many levels. We seem to have evolved into social animals programmed to associate
ourselves to other people who share the same collective goals as ours and food seems to be at the center of it all. Maybe it started
while our ancestors needed to provide shelter for their families and during our evolution we have pursuit more effective ways to protect
our society and create cultures, languages and many other philosophies that distinguish us from one another. I believe the reason
why we like to share meals with others, is that it might have something to do with strength in numbers. While belonging to a
larger group not only meant a higher chance of survival, but also that one could share valuable information with the next of kin.
This is only an opinion, not based on scientific facts, but I still like to make an attempt to describe certain points of our social
behavior that shaped us into what we are today. In conclusion, I think that food has been paramount in shaping humanity more into
a symbionic organism, maybe even more noticeable today. Regardless of our differences we have deep-rooted instincts that drive us
to share meals to interact with others which crosses every human boundaries, including cultures, religion and race. Alfredo Imbimbo
